I would like to use the additional theoremstyles provided in AMS-LaTeX,
say ctheoremstyle{definition} and ctheoremstyle{remark} but without
using amsart.sty or amsbook.sty.  On attempting to do this, I get the
message: ctheoremstyle undefined, using ctheoremstyle{plain} instead.
I would appreciate any suggestion as to how to invoke ctheoremstyle{remark}
and ctheoremstyle{definition} in the standard LaTeX article and book
styles.
