Their problems with Unix (no colour at installation time, >apparant bad fonts, can't convince vp/ix that mono ega *is* a reality >on a ttl monitor) will only keep Ati out of the unix market. For what it's worth, I'm running an ATI 8514 Ultra alongside a Paradise VGA Pro and this combo works great for both VPIX and X/Motif. In fact, the 8514 Ultra has some of the slickest setup software I've seen anywhere, making the whole thing relatively painless. Note that this is *not* the version of the Ultra that has VGA and mouse port also included on the same card; I believe that one is called the Ultra Plus (or +). If anyone has used that card with ISC 2.2, I'd be interested in knowing about it. -- Rolfe Tessem | Lucky Duck Productions rolfe@w3vh.UUCP | 17 Saint Luke's Place {uunet}!w3vh!rolfe | New York, NY 10014 (413) 528-5966 | (212) 463-0029
