How do I get 1024x768? Message-ID: <1991May06.195243.28806@lynx.CS.ORST.EDU> Date: 6 May 91 19:52:43 GMT Sender: holtt@jacobs.cs.orst.edu Organization: Oregon State University, Oceanography/Marine Technician Group Lines: 15 Nntp-Posting-Host: jacobs.cs.orst.edu I'm running ISC 2.2 Unix w/ their X on an Everex 386/25 Step, using Everex's VGA card, called a "Viewpoint NI". I can run X in 640x480 mode just fine, but I'd like to use it in 1024x768 mode, but ISC doesn't have the Everex card in their list of cards supported at higher resolution. Any suggestions on if a driver is available for this card, or if it's just a relable of another companies card? How do you create a driver? Is it possible for your average hacker? Inquiring minds (like me!) want to know! -- Tim Holt - Marine Technician holtt@jacobs.cs.orst.edu Oregon State University College of Oceanograpy / Oc. Admin. 104 Corvallis, OR 97331-5503 (503)737-4447
