The X Journal will provide a forum for in-depth discussion of a variety of topics related to X including: Xlib and Xt programming issues, discussion of alternative toolkits and language interfaces, overviews of upcoming releases from The X Consortium, graphics programming with X, extensions to X, X-related software engineering issues, X system administration, user interface design issues, book and conference reviews, interviews, and other topics. So far, the response to this publication from the X community has been very positive. It seems that there are many of us who are interested in reading more about the above issues, what other individuals/companies are doing with X, X programming tips, and so on. If you're coming to Xhibition or USENIX, stop by the publisher's booth and meet the publishing staff and the editor. If you can't make it to either conference and have comments or questions about any aspect of the publication, you can call, write, fax, or email the editor and/or publisher as outlined below. If you'd like to discuss writing an article or column for The X Journal, please contact the editor.
