Rubber pucks would certainly _look_ better. I had some of the sorbothane pucks around from a previous use. I set one of those heavy marble pastry sheets on top of them and put my Rega on top of the marble. It cured the bass resonance interaction and I think it looks really nice, all for around $60. Sorbothane pucks were from Audioquest, I believe. Pastry sheet was green marble, from Mervyns. It may also have improved soundstage reproduction.
