Oh Great Wisdom Of The Net,

i need some help cross reference a transistor. i think i know
what it is, but i need a professional opinion. (and before i
blow something up!)    =)

the transistor has the numbers C2240BL and is in a standard
TO-92 case.

i need to know what it is, something i can replace it with,
and a possible source, etc.
