IMHO, that comes about when you accept Christ as your Saviour and Lord of your life. Your old self (the sinful nature) dies with Christ. All your sin is paid for and then you become a new creation. The old has gone and the new has come. In order to accept all this I would think that you would have to accept the Jesus was God and man and would then be worshipping him.
