Included in the version of lpmud we were running, was a port listener for exactly the purpose mentioned above. I hacked it alittle so that it could be somewhat more dynamic than it was ( you had to recompile to change the message that it told people. ) I will put it up for anonymous FTP on calvin.nmsu.edu ( 128.123.35.150 ) in pub/mud/misc/sorry.tar.Z for those of you interested. Expect it there in a day or two, I need to include a README for the little beastie.
