It's been a while since I worked on this (I was did the conversion
software for a (now defunct) product that hooked up PCs to the Canon).
I believe there are some minor differences in the protocol between
different models.  We did the 710 and 910 I think.

I'm not sure which upsets me more: that people are so unwilling to accept
