The basic idea is that folks now connected to the Appletalk want to vie for 4 ports to draw a prompt from the PBX dataswitch. I assume I need a terminal server which speaks Appletalk but I haven't done much work with Apple stuff in general and I don't know what the options and obstacles might be. Does Apple provide terminal emulation sitting on top of Appletalk? Can anyone recommend a box to hang off the local network to provide the service? I only need 4 connections to start but I think its safe to presume that the port requirement will double before I can get the purchase order through (sigh...). The configuration is roughly presented below with the ?? representing the alleged terminal server or whatever. / \ | __ | ----------- |__| == | | ====== | -- | |------ IBM 3090 A T | | |----| P B X | P A | |??|----| | P L == | |----| Rolm 9751 |------ Vaxen L K | | |----| Data/Voice| E | -- | | __ | | |------ Lots of other hosts |__| == | | ====== | ----------- | | | \ / Any help will be appreciated.
