I am using ventels 9600 plus modems on Sun's systems. THe current operating
OS is 4.0.3. I will be upgrading to 4.1.1 later on. The question is how do I
setup the L.sys ( 4.0.3) file to accept the security password that is 
avialable on the Vental.

Here is what I have in my L.sys file.

ventel Any,1 ACUHAYES 9600 202-555-1212 "" \d\r\r\r ogin: Ume ssword: sys

As you can see I do not have the password entry for the modem itself. I  have
given the modem password direct access.

P.s. This is the same problem with Telebit T1000 security function.
