Can people tell me if it is possible to just plug X.25 feed(s) into one hole on a magic cisco box and get a DECNET/LAT feed out of an Ethernet hole? This may seem naiive - sorry, I just can't work out if the cicso unit is so masterfully intelligent it can put together all the packets in say, an X.25 conversation to an asysnchronous device and transform into a conversation on a DECNET port that looks like a virtual terminal LAT connection. In case anybody hadn't guessed, that is what I am wondering if I can do. I need to take terminal type conversations from an X.25 environment and make it look to a DEC Cluster of MicroVaxen like these were terminals coming at them from say a DECServer Terminal Server. Obviously I would need an X.25 card. What else? An Ethernet port to a DECNET network. OK, anything else besides brains? :-) Thanks, mail is probably more appropriate for responses - anyone wanting a possible summary should ask by mail. -- William Jackson Manager, Network Services, Gaines Hall #113 Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU), 840 SW Gaines Road, Portland,OR 97201 (503) 494 4535 Internet: bj@ohsu.edu AT&T Mail: attmail!ohsu3b2!bj
