Lines: 17 There has been a lot of discussion lately in this group on computer generated holograms, stereograms, etc. I looked at this a few years ago but was not in a position to do anything about it. However ...the recent discussion has got me interested again Now I have access to a relatively fast mainframe (and it's basically free) A very large amount of disk space if I need it (gigabytes) I have a number of hardcopy devices at my disposal - A0 size HP plotters (0.1mm pens) - 4000 line slide maker - 300, 600, 1200, and 2400 DPI Laserwriters Choice of good 3D modelling and rendering packages. I am now also an experienced C and Fortran programmer with a programming backgound in 3D modelling and signal processing (acoustic). So tell me...is it possible for me to generate some sort of hologram? If so, how? If not, why?
