Niklaus Wirth himself decided that we shouldn't try to make Oberon work on the 68000 because "Oberon is a modern operating system designed for modern processors". Lack of performance would be perceived as a flaw of Oberon, and not the processor architecture. Consequently the deliberate restriction to 68020. Michael Franz
