Lines: 39 I have just set up my system "jho" to talk to another system called "iex" through UUCP. My problem is when I send out mail, the "From:" address appeared to be wrong. It shows as "From: iex!unix.iex.com!john@uunet.UU.NET (john)" but I think the correct address should be. "From: iex!jho!john@uunet.UU.NET (john)" Who is modifiying that address and how can I fix it? --------- Old mail I send to my friend --------- >From iex!jho!john@uunet.UU.NET Tue Apr 30 10:34:32 1991 Return-Path: Received: from tilde by yale.csc.ti.com (4.1/SMI-4.1) id AA04453; Tue, 30 Apr 91 10:34:31 CDT Received: from ti.com by tilde id AA24365; Tue, 30 Apr 91 10:34:29 -0500 Received: from relay1.UU.NET by ti.com id AA15894; Tue, 30 Apr 91 10:34:33 -0500 Received: from iex.UUCP by relay1.UU.NET with UUCP (5.61/UUNET-shadow-mx) id AA22039; Tue, 30 Apr 91 11:32:56 -0400 Received: from jho.UUCP by iex.iex.com (AA13105) with UUCP; Tue, 30 Apr 91 09:22:25 -0600 Received: by unix.UUCP (5.51/smail2.2/06-30-87) id AA09113; Tue, 30 Apr 91 10:14:44 CST From: iex!unix.iex.com!john@uunet.UU.NET (john) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Message-Id: <9104301614.AA09113@unix.UUCP> Subject: Re: got you To: ywong@yale.csc.ti.com (Yiwan Wong) Date: Tue, 30 Apr 91 10:14:43 CST In-Reply-To: <9104301455.AA04255@yale.csc.ti.com>; from "Yiwan Wong" at Apr 30, 91 9:55 am X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.3 PL0] - - - content deleted ------------ mail ended ---------------- -- John Ho from dallas, texas, usa. uunet!iex!jho!john
