   It's a nice idea, but the bus is the least of your problems when dealing
with video RAM. Contention with the raster generator is, and it can add
half a dozen wait states. Video RAM is much slower than system RAM even
when both are attached to the same (slow) bus. Putting the video on the
motherboard isn't going to gain you much -- even assuming that the
motherboard designers haven't just attached the video system to the
AT-style bus.
