Since my newsreader can't go back to see what this was responding to, I don't know what problems the first poster won't have. However, as a utility to buy for a home PC, PC Tools is a much better buy than Norton. Why? For the price of the Norton Utilites, it has not only all the standard disk utilites (unerase, de-fragmeter, directory utilities, format utilities, etc.), but also has the PC Shell (an equivalent to Norton Commander), PC Disk Cache (a good disk cache), PC Backup (the equivalent of Fastback or Norton Backup), and PC Desktop (with many of the functions of Borland's Sidekick). And all work well. Jim Mann jmann@vineland.pubs.stratus.com Stratus Computer
