Message-ID: <91130.100700TOMIII@MTUS5.BITNET> Date: 10 May 91 15:07:00 GMT Organization: Computing Technology Services, Michigan Technological Univ. Lines: 17 I'm not quite sure where this should be posted but here goes: It's a real pain to update two maps for the nameserver (ie - the hosts map and the reverse map) every time I add a machine, so I wrote a program to generate the reverse map given the hosts map. This program isn't the greatest, but it seems to be working. My problem is that now I want to split the maps into several files, one per domain. The question is, has someone already written a program to generate multiple reverse maps from multiple host maps? Is there an FTP site with nameserver utilities? Any pointers would be appreciated. :-) Thomas Dwyer III Email: tomiii@mtu.edu Network Programmer tomiii@mtus5.BITNET Computing Technology Services Voice: (906) 487-2110 Michigan Technological University Fax: (906) 487-2787
