My setup is Intel 403E (33MHz 486), 16M RAM, with two 1.2G SCSI, SCSI WangDAT and SCSI CD-ROM hung off Adaptec 17xx (EISA) controller, with Interactive. The SCSI-Express software offered by the supplier doesn't work and they don't seem to have any real ideas about what to do next. I certainly have not tried using the VP/IX (a) because I have heard "bad things" about VP/IX, (b) because I did not buy a UNIX box to have it pretend to be a PC, and (c) because I want to mount the CD-ROM as a single 600MB partition (or, I accept, three or four, if the 2E16 - 2 inode maximum rears its ugly head). > Actually, I believe SCO Unix will also allow High Sierra format > CD-ROMS to be mounted as file systems. Annoyingly, I have a SCO box as well, but it's only a COMPAQ and does not have SCSI at all. A *real* solution for Interactive is preferred. All net wisdom welcome ...
