Summary: help needed choosing a 9600 baud modem... Keywords: modem 9600 v.32 v.42 bis mnp Message-ID: Date: 12 May 91 23:14:05 GMT Organization: University of Kentucky Lines: 28 Hello, Well, after reading a few postings to this group, the 9600 baud picture is a little bit clearer. But some things I'm still unsure about: USRobotics makes a "HST 14400"...does this modem implement v.32bis? Is it a good modem? Also, anybody used the Hayes "ultra 9600" modem? Or just a suggestion on a good, fast, compatible modem...sheesh...buying a modem used to be easy... p.s. personal mail would be most appreciated, as I will be calling long distance over the next 3 weeks, and reading news is slow...I'll summarize and post later...
