I have a question regarding the automount and autoconfig process of hard drives. I own a golem 3000 harddrive, which has its drivers on disks, which means booting from the harddrive is not possible. I would like to be able to put this driver software on eprom and thus be able to autoboot from the hard drive. I have some vague ideas on how to do this, which I have gotten from the rom-kernel extras disks. The main problem is that I dont know how the auto mount process works. I've seen something about 'rigid blocks' which are supposed to contain mount information. Would this be done automatically, so I wouldn't need to reprogram my driver? Is there any information aivailable on this, other than the 1.3 manuals? I have all the old ones but dont see that the added information aivailble in the new ones makes them a worthwile buy. -- ============================================================================== !
