Well, that's certainly an effective way to lay the groundwork for a thoughtful

Always good to encounter another student of Dale Carnegie.

I've been thinking about asking for a raise.  Perhaps I shall try the
following approach:

	I've got a family to support with two kids in college, and am really
	having trouble making ends meet.  I've been checking around and it
	seems that people doing comparable work are making more than me.
	I feel that the quality of my work, and the loyalty I've shown,
	warrant a raise.  It's been long time since my last raise.

	Oh, and if you *don't* give me a raise, you can go fuck yourself.  I
	don't care what you think anyway.

Worth a shot, eh?
