I am an amiga machine code programmer who usually writes DMA demos.I have
just recently begun to write a program that needs the CONSOLE.DEVICE .Please
could anybody tell me how to open a device from within assembly language.

I have the book "Advanced System Programmers Guide" from Abacus but it only
shows how to do it from within C which was OK until I came across a function
called NEWLIST.What does that function do???
