Look for a parallel to serial converter. This is not an apple-specific piece of equipment, so you can check your IBM equipment ads (like Computer Shopper). Unfortunately this is not a cheap piece of equipment (even though the concept is excessively simple (for parallel to serial you just load the data in parallel to a shift register and shift the bits out in serial at the proper speed).
