If and when other FST's come out for the IIgs, would it be possible to say format a HFS partition for my GS with a hypothetical HFS FST and then take the hard drive down to a mac, connect it up to the SCSI bus, and then be able to mount the partition? Or how about an MSDOS partition with another hypotetical MSDOS FST and then connect the hard drive to a NeXT that also has a MSDOS FST and be able to mount that volume? This would be really useful in being able to share data among different platforms, and I really am not sure how partitions in situations like this. Also, once again, I am looking for some comments about which SCSI card to buy. I'm leaning towards getting the RAMFast card, but am unsure about commiting myself to it, as the Apple High Speed SCSI card supposidly has better comaptibily among SCSI devices. Also would the use of storage devices such as the SYQuest with cartridges be affect by the different cards? Again, send me e-mail about your comments about the cards, and thanks to everyone who has answered it so far!
