Whilst making a monitor cable for My st I noticed on the Monitor Plug
Pin out, that one of the pins is labled Audio IN.

Can this be utilized my any software? or what the heck is it?

I am hoping (against logic) that this could be used to sample things.

Has anybody used this input before??
