Lines: 23 Hi, I recently got responsible for a couple of machines (mostly suns) including a Microvax II. There soon will be an upgrade to a Decstation. Now the problem: there exists an ASAC rack with - a Kennedy 9600A 1/2" tape drive (800, 1600, 3200 BPI) - an M2344 hard disk (690 MB) - an SMD/MSCP controller which could be changed to a SCSI device (costs about $8000). But there's almost no more need for the tape drive and we would prefer to buy a bigger hard disk for the suns for the money. Now my question: is there still a market for such a tape drive and how much would it be worth? My knowledge about DEC machines and their periphery is very poor, so I would appreciate any advice on this matter.
