I saw a demo of a new AdLib compatible interface card today, for those of you
who are looking for a good sound generation card.  Here are the specs:

Stereo Synthesizer:	2 Yamaha YM3812 FM Synth's (1 per channel)
			22 voices (11 per channel)
			18 timbres (9 per channel)

Audio Mixer:		10 inputs with independent L/R channel controls
			Supports: Internal Synthesizers (stereo)
				  Internal CD-Audio (stereo)
				  External in-line audio (stereo)
				  Digitally sampled audio (stereo)
				  Microphone (mono)
				  PC Speaker (mono)

Audo Outputs:		Drive Level 1.414 Vrms (4p-p)
			Drive Power 1 watt
			Load Impedance 8 ohms
			Connectors: mini-stereo jacks

MIDI Controller:	Yamaha 3802 (requires external MIDI connector box)

SCSI Interface:		CD-ROM maximum rate of 153kB/sec

Signal Quality:		(1 Vp-p reference)
			8 bit sample rate 2kHz - 44.1kHz (1uS freq. step size)

			Dynamic range and Signal to Noise:
					Synthesized mixed audio: -75dB

They also claim to adhere to the Microsoft Level I Multimedia Platform (whatever
THAT is), and the demo was pretty good, with stereo sampling, software controls,
etc.  They were asking $295 at Fry's Electronics.  FWIW.
