I'm posting this instead of e-mailing because I'm not sure of the sound format that the Amiga uses. However, as long as it is in the same format as SoundMaster uses, you can change the creator and type IDs of the file to the types used by SoundMaster. See, the problem is that in order for the Finder and other programs to know the "owner" of a document (like MSWord), there needs to be an identification code attached to the document. For example, all applications have a type "APPL". MSWord (the application) has type "APPL", and creator "MSWD". Now, with that information, any document created by MSWord will have the creator ID "MSWD", and the MSWord Document icon accordingly. Taking this one step further, when you use the "Open" command in MSWord, it will only show you files of creator "MSWD" (for the standard open). Now, if you apply this to your sounds, you will probably see that the sounds that you imported have the boring document icon. There is no "owner" of the documents. Here's where my knowledge ends. I forget the type and creator for SoundMaster type sounds. If anyone knows those, please post or e-mail (don't e-mail ME, though) the answer. OK, well, once you find out those codes, you can use either a DA like DiskTools II or DiskTop to change the codes to the right ones. ResEdit will also work. In all cases, you select the file, Get Info (using the program, NOT the Finder), and change the codes. -- \ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | / - Michael Weiss weiss@watson.seas.ucla.edu | School of Engineering and - - izzydp5@oac.ucla.edu | Applied Science, UCLA - / | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | \
