I have had use a LC with an Apple 13" RGB monitor since Dec '90 and the drawing speed has been very reasonable. Of course a IIci or IIcx is faster, but I couldn't afford a Mac II. I currently have a 256 color (via 512K VRAM upgrade) X 13" screen, and very satisfied. I think that anyone who is considering getting the 12" monitor should consider getting a 13" monitor + VRAM upgrade instead. The resolution of the 12" is about the same as the 9" compact Mac (i.e. tiny). The horiz. resolution is such that you cannot even display the full width of a printed page!! =Mike -- == Michael K.
