Forgive me if this has been discussed recently, but...

I have a Mac SE 2/40.  I want to get a Mac IIsi 2/40 or 5/80, but I can't
  afford it yet.  Would I be better off getting some SIMMs and an accelerator
  and pass up the color in order to get some speedy performance?

Also, can I put 2 MB SIMMs in an SE, or must I remain with 256K and 1 MB SIMMs?
