I'm all for it if NeXT wanted to do it, but I don't think they could make any money on it. (1) Their factory only has a 100,000 machine/yr capacity, so that puts an upper bound on how much of this they could do, unless they were making money off the leases. Until they are putting out enough to keep up with demand, this can wait. You might notice that NeXT's not been doing any sort of aggressive marketing - this is at least partially due to the fact that if they started getting orders for 100 machines/week, they'd not be able to fill them.
