Message-ID: <1991May13.181529.15629@oakhill.sps.mot.com> Date: 13 May 91 18:15:29 GMT Distribution: na Organization: Motorola Inc., Austin, Texas Lines: 18 I've had a rather strange request from a person on our site for information about a terminal emulator that runs under suntools, or X, pref. X, that would handle the hp block-mode editing feature. Hp is running a tester support bulletin board sort of thing, and it's written to do file editing via block-mode local editing, where the bull. board sends a sequence saying, go into block editing mode, here's the data, and sends a chunk of data to display. The user can use function keys on the terminal to edit the data, and then, when finished, retransmits the data to the BB. I told him not to hold his breath. Anybody out know of anything? murf -- murf: Steve Murphy, Motorola, Inc. 6501 William Cannon Drive West, MS OE37 Austin, TX 78735 (512)891-2276 !oakhill!murf or murf@oakhill.sps.mot.com
