I have a sparc1 that is a client of a sun4/330. This client gets everything from the server EXCEPT /usr/local and /home.. So when I run the updatedb script on the client it overwrites the find.codes in /usr/lib/find and when the server runds updatedb script it too writes to the same /usr/lib/find... My question is - has someone come up with a new and improved version of the updatedb script that will allow the client to find files not only of type nfs but also his local ones and write them to a place that find will access .. in other words - I want the client and server to each have their own fast find database.
