We are running ULTRIX 4.0 on a DS3100 and we get from time to time the
following panic message:

cpu 0 panic: sm_retrieve_sa: Could not find SMS in proc

We've been told by a DEC support representative that this is a known race
condition between the page daemon and an exiting process using shared memory
(through shmget, shmop, shmat, ... system calls).

Does anybody know a workaround or a possible patch?

Has the problem been solved on newer versions of ULTRIX?
