Unfortunately when a core is produced, the content of mapped shared memory sections is not saved. As a result, the shared memory content can not be examined via dbx. Would anybody know a future version of ULTRIX that would fix this? We are already trapping signals so we could produce a file with the shared memory content but we would need a debugger that can interpret the information (using the symbols from the object file). Would somebody know a public domain debugger that could do the job or one that could be easily adapted? Thanks in advance. -- Gilles Hurteau, DMR Group Inc, (514) 252-4333 (All of these opinions are my own) hurteau@zap.uucp uunet!sobeco!zap!hurteau hurteau%zap@larry.mcrcim.mcgill.edu
