There are some FILE MANAGER features which are not docmented (at least not in my documents) that are nice (2 are from filemgr.trk at cica.cica.indiana.edu):

1. Holding down SHIFT while clicking on a disk icon opens that disks directory with the tree fully expanded.

2. Draging a file on another file exectutes the later with the former as an argument. 

3. Holding shift while clicking on a directory tree branch does not open a new window with that branch files, but REPLACES an existing one (if on exists) with the branch files.
