Keywords: Microsoft windows memory management conflicts Message-ID: Date: 13 May 91 14:01:18 GMT Sender: usenet@deere.com Lines: 12 I am helping a small, rural and public hospital set-up a desktop publishing system. They have an IBM PS/2 55SX with DOS 4.0. The software is Windows/286 (version 2.1 I believe) with Aldus PageMaker and IBM's ImageEdit scanning software. My problem is that when I install DOS's XMAEM.SYS to enable 386 emulation of 286 memory management (the PS/2 is a 2 meg system) HIMEM.SYS will not install. Does anyone know of a work around? The facility has very little budget excess so it would be nice to avoid an upgrade cycle. Thank you in advance.
