Secondly do you have himem.sys installed in config.sys? If your PC comes up in real mode then you don't have access to extended memory anyway. In real mode it's expanded memory Windows wants to see. Try typing 'win /s' and see what happens. That should force standard mode out of Windows and then see if you've got any extended memory. Stick another note on here if you need more help. Regards, Dan.
