Message-ID: <9105100534.AA23740@cas.org> Date: 10 May 91 09:34:50 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Lines: 19 When using SunOS 4.1.1 and OpenWindows 2.0, we find that the Save Screen Layout only knows about XView programs. Looking on the net, we find a program called xplaces which knows a bit about Xt based tools but which appears to have some bugs with regards to the geometry of a window. Does anyone have a tool which merges the two and produces a correct list of programs which have windows open? Also, has anyone figured out a way to merge such a list into one's current openwin-init file, rather than replacing it? In our shop,. folks have windows opening which are short-lived - which go away if one does not have any thing to look at, etc. So we do not want to replace the init - just update it. -- Larry W.
