A few weeks ago I posted a request for some information on how to get 
keyboard focus on a Xview text field (panel item). In other words, I want
the user's keystroks to appear on the panel item text field without the user
first having to perform a mouse click on the panel item and then typing.
The suggestion that I set the "caret" on the panel item did not work.
Any hints?
