Does anybody know of a program utility to read and write ANSI standard
labelled magnetic tapes on a SUN? (9 track 1/2 inch tapes). Any hints
would most appreciated.

(I need to transfer information back and forth between a SUN SparcStation
and a DEC PDP-11/44. The only common media is a 9 track 1600bpi tape
drive.)
