Depends what you mean by "answered", surely. If the prayer is "Please give me a tricycle," I'm afraid I don't believe it. If that were the way prayer worked, religion would be magic. If the prayer is "Please give me the right attitude," on the other hand, maybe it'll work. Praying nine times a day for nine days is likely to affect one's attitude positively.
