                            CALL FOR PAPERS

              Neural Networks in Design and Manufacturing

The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (IJAMT)
is soliciting papers for a special issue on Neural Networks in Design and
Manufacturing.  Both theoretical and application-oriented papers are
being sought to address various issues regarding the use of neural networks
to deals with the following design and manufacturing problems:

    o  Design, planning, analysis and control of manufacturing processes,
       cells and systems
    o  Concurrent engineering
    o  Design for manufacturing
    o  Machine monitoring and fault diagnosis
    o  Optimization
    o  Case studies
    o  Neural network structures
    o  Network training efficiency
    o  Expert system/neural network knowledge transfer

Paper submission deadline is November 30, 1991.  Manuscripts must conform
to the basic format of the IJAMT.  Instructions to Authors are published
in every issue of the Journal.

All papers will be reviewed following the regular IJAMT review process.
Three copies of the manuscript should be sent to either one of the guest
editors of the special issue:
