Hmm ... I wouldn't answer those questions either, and I didn't have to
pay a deposit (although the first telebozo I spoke to was insisting
that I had to turn up at a Pac*Bell office with photo ID before the
installation date.  Maybe I should have paid .. :)

(this is recent experience ... like last month!)
