I had made a tmp file under c: when I first got the error msg, but it still didn't help. After I got back to looking at the problem, I noticed I have a TMP=d:xxx in my environment for my compiler, but I did not have that particular volume mounted while I was playing with elvis, so it could not find the equiv of the TMP variable path. Elvis _does_ know about the TMP variable.
