Hi, I'm writing on behalf of a student of mine who wishes to produce 
troff output in the Tamil font.

Can anybody send me pointers to

a) A free font suitible for troff.
b) Software for designing troff compatible fonts.

We would prefer to spend no money, though a little effort is no trouble.
