Lines: 7 Nntp-Posting-Host: skycat If one were to try and grab an image of discrete points (stars, in this case) and try to compare the pattern to a star-map database, what would be the fastest and most relevant algorithms for the pattern- recognition involved? This will be used for a prototype rocket guidance system using a video camera and frame-grabber to provide a real-time indication of attitude vector.
