Seeing as how the comp.graphics.research stuff has subsided, I thought I'd
make another suggestion.  Maybe instead of another group to handle the
"real" stuff, what needs to be done is to take the lead of
alt.graphics.pixutils and create a comp.graphics.pixutils so that all
the requests for "xxx viewer for machine yyy" can go there.  Not everybody
gets the alt group, and perhaps that would fix it.
