We would like most mail coming in from the Internet to come to a common machine, which would examine the user name part of the address and decide which host to forward it to. I presume a list of sendmail rules could be set up, one rule per username, but I suppose this will slow down sendmail quite a bit. The other possibility would be to register each username as a user of the mail gateway and set up .forward files to redistribute the mail, but this causes more administrative overhead on the gateway machine. Any ideas? Thanks for any suggestions. ________________________ Bob Fillmore, Systems Software & Communications email: fillmore@emr1.emr.ca Computer Services Centre, BIX: bfillmore Energy, Mines, & Resources Canada Voice: (613) 992-2832 588 Booth St., Ottawa, Ontario, Canada K1A 0E4 FAX: (613) 996-2953
